AALIS (Alumni Association of Library and Information Science)

Alumni Association of Library and information Science is the first alumni association of its kind in the Bishop Heber College. AALIS is constituted by the self interested alumni's of the department of Library and Information Science. Its main aim is to promote the Professional activities in this region effectively.

• AALIS was started in the year 2000. Since the inception AALIS actively takes part in organizing conferences and workshops.
• AALIS- is extremely helpful in upholding curricular and co-curricular activities of the department.
• The annual get-together of alumni is conducted every year on 2nd October
• AALIS provides scholarships to financially backward students
• AALIS has published a book on “Library Science Unleashed” (for SLET / NET preparations)
• AALIS brings out aalismail an annual news letter for the alumni of the department
• AALIS have a e-forum (aalisgroup) for discuss the emerging issues of LIS
